TUESDAY:
Warm Up: Charlie wanted more than anything to be smart. He was even willing ot take great risks. If success were guaranteed, what would you change about yourself? your life? Explain. (1/2 pg. min.)
Classwork: Take story quiz over part 1 of “Flowers for Algernon.” Discuss the story. (8.1.spi.6,7,11,12,18,24,25) Begin watching Charly, the film version of “Flowers for Algernon.”
Homework: Continue working toward completion of your independent book report/project. Pay close attention to the details on the guidelines handout. There will be a novel check on Wednesday. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR BOOK REPORT NOVEL IN CLASS TOMORROW.

Warm Up: Have your desks cleared of everything except your book report novel. Novel Check.

Homework: Continue working toward completion of your independent book report/project. Pay close attention to the details on the guidelines handout.

FRIDAY:
Warm Up: Have you ever wanted something, gotten it, and then realized it wasn’t exactly what you expected? Write about a time when you were surprised or disappointed upon getting something you had been wanting to get or perhaps a time when you were surprised or disappointed upon doing something you had been wanting to do. Explain. (1/2 p. minimum)
Classwork: Complete multiple intelligence survey and make inkblots. Review book report/project guidelines. Show sample projects from previous years. If there is time, students may independently read their book report novels.
Homework: Continue working toward completion of your independent book report/project. Pay close attention to the details on the guidelines handout.
