Homework: Write a one-page response related to the 1st day of school. It may be about any year’s first day. Journal entry must be 1 page minimum.

TUESDAY:

Homework: Complete “Interest Inventory” handout. You MAY write on it. Due tomorrow.

THURSDAY:

Warm Up: Collect “Interest Inventory” homework from yesterday.
Classwork: Complete “Entry-Level Reading Test” on notebook paper. Turn in when finished.
Homework: Prepare your index card for “4 Facts & a Fib.”

FRIDAY:

Warm Up: Complete friendly letter editing practice handout.
Classwork: Take notes on the form of a friendly letter. Participate in the get acquainted activity “4 Facts & a Fib.”
Homework: None
